All our cashmere knitwear begins its journey on the vast, serene grasslands of Inner Mongolia. By spring, the harsh winter snows and sub-zero temperatures have melted away. Under the soft spring sunshine, nomadic herders begin the meticulous process of collecting the finest fleeces from their herds of cashmere goats. Each goat is carefully combed by hand, ensuring only the softest, purest hair is collected. The combination of the severe winter climate and the unique natural minerals in the goats' diet creates this magical fiber, renowned for its unparalleled softness and warmth.

From Mongolia, the raw yarn fiber is transported to skilled yarn spinners in Scotland. With over 150 years of experience, these artisans transform the raw materials into vibrant yarns, ready to be expertly knitted into luxurious cashmere knitwear.

Staying in Scotland, the yarn makes its way to the historic town of Hawick, nestled in the Scottish Borders. For over 200 years, this charming town has been renowned for producing some of the world’s finest knitwear. It's no exaggeration to say that knitwear from Hawick has adorned royalty, both from the palaces of Europe and the silver screens of Hollywood.

Our family-owned factory in Hawick utilizes state-of-the-art computer-controlled knitting equipment to ensure that each stitch is perfectly formed. Once knitted, the panels are carefully assembled by skilled craftsmen and women, many of whom have generations of knitting history behind them.

The finished product undergoes rigorous inspection for softness and quality before receiving our label, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to creating the finest cashmere knitwear available today.

Our classic range of cashmere sweaters is knitted using the finest 2/28's cashmere fiber. This ensures the integrity of the garment, helping it maintain its shape and enhancing its longevity.

Washing

Approach shirt-washing with a delicate touch to ensure longevity. Machine washing is definitely better than dry-cleaning because the chemicals are bad for the cotton. Washing at a low temperature protects the fine fabric that the very best shirts are made from, and also helps it to retain colour for longer. We recommend washing at 40 degrees or even 30 degrees.

Drying

After washing, we advise not to use a tumble dryer, instead, we recommend leaving the shirts to dry naturally. This is because having your shirts bang around inside a hot container increases the likelihood of shrinkage.

Ironing

Ironing puts your shirts under a lot of stress and so should be approached carefully. Please take your shirts out to dry and press them while they’re still damp. This makes them easier to iron than when they’re bone dry, and ensures a smooth finish. We also recommend ironing collars and cuffs away from the edge to avoid unsightly ridges, and pulling the front placket tight to get a nice clean finish.
