Felt Grey V-Neck Cashmere Slipover
Product Details
Our cashmere slipovers are crafted in Scotland from the finest 2/28’s Mongolian cashmere fibre. This ensures the integrity of the garment, helping it maintain its shape and enhancing its longevity.
The finished product undergoes rigorous inspection for softness and quality before receiving our label, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to creating the finest cashmere knitwear available on the market today.
Our Cashmere
Only the finest cashmere hair from Mongolia is selected for our sweaters, chosen for its long-staple fibres, which result in the smoothest, softest clothes. Spun in the UK by some of the best spinners in the world, the yarn is then transformed into Hilditch & Key’s designs in Scotland using state-of-the-art knitting machines; the collars are skilfully linked onto the garment by hand.
For the final process, the fully formed piece is washed or ‘scoured’ to remove the oils that are added to the yarn during the spinning process, and give the fabric its luxurious feel. It takes a great degree of skill to know when the cashmere is ready – the expert team quite literally have a feel for when it has reached the desired softness. It’s this artisanal knowledge and attention to detail that guarantees garments that will last, and even be passed down through generations.

Our Story
First founded in 1899 by Charles F. Hilditch and W. Graham Key, Hilditch & Key quickly established a reputation amongst the best-dressed Londoners. We made our first appearance on Jermyn Street in the early 20th century, expanding to Paris with the opening of a store in 1907. During the following decades we expanded along Jermyn Street, operating three separate stores on the street as late as the end of the century. A pioneer of the ready-to-wear shirt in the 1950’s at a time when shirts continued to only be made to measure, we developed a reputation as one of the finest shirtmakers. With distinguished past customers such as Dior, Worth, Chanel, Lacoste and Givenchy, we have designed and made for some of the greatest designers of the age.
